Out of all the upcycling features on Gigot, this has got to be one of my favourites. Got an old shirt lying around which you don’t use anymore? Send it off to the good people at vanHulley and they’ll turn it into a pair of boxershorts!

Jolijn Creutzberg noticed years ago that even though her husband’s shirts for the most part we’re still perfectly fine, they couldn’t be worn anymore due to wear and tear around the collar. Using the fabric to sew underwear proofed to be a perfect solution to reduce this waste. In 2012 the time was ripe to turn this brilliant upcycling idea into a social enterprise.
