For many years I moved twice a year: in october and in april. This was by no means by choice, mind you, living in the capital city on a student budget is not something I ever want to go back to. It does however explain the reason my heart jumps every time I see an interior item that I can award GIGOT’s stamp of urban nomad approval*. Meet SNAP!
Lovers of DIY without a toolbox or a real need to get dirty, head on over to one of the latest jewels on Kickstarter. Snap enables you to turn any flat surface into a table, stool, bench, nightstand or stage.
I like how the snap is completely monkey proof, and takes literally seconds to attach the poot to the flat surface. Can you imagine the possibilities? They come in all kinds of funky colours, too!
The product designers from Barcelona that are brains behind Snap are both avid travellers. While chatting one day the topic of inflexible furniture came up, and the idea for snap was born. They made their first prototype with clothes hangers, and after some serious R&D and prototyping, they finally got to the Snap the world is falling in love with today.
Snap has far outreached their funding goal, but you can still back the project and start snapping this October!
*’Urban Nomads’ are ‘always on the move’, hence the need for flexibele furniture and home deco that are easy to move! More ideas with the ‘Gigot’s stamp of Urban Nomad approval’ can be found here.
