February 1, 2015

Millie Fairhall

Millie Fairhall is an artisan, rambler, warrior, wanderer, sea-dweller, nature-frolicker and a self-professed gypsy-pirate. All that, and more, is pored into her stunning handcrafted serving boards!

Stunning art that is functional as well, tends to hit a sweet spot, and these cutting boards definitely do! Wouldn’t these be great to grace your kitchen countertop and serve snacks and bites when entertaining?

All of these boards are handcrafted and hand painted by Millie herself, down in her studio on the sunshine coast in Australia. She planes the reclaimed wood, and then cuts, shapes, sands and burnish it into a cutting board. Each of the cutting boards gets a unique painted pattern which is not being recreated. It’s all colourful shapes and cheerful bits and bobs that compliment the beautiful timber.

Keep an eye on her online shop to grab a board once the shop is restocked, as they tend to be sold out quickly. She’s an avid screenprinter as well if in need for pretty prints. Pretty pretty!
