Mindful Monday: time to take a deep breath and stop. running. around.! Gigot is here with some Mindful inspiration. Introducing today: Haydanhuya.
One of the main reasons many people would like to live a more balanced and mindful live, is because their current lives are so overstuffed. The endless to-do lists for home and work. And there is a much of what we want to do, things we feel we should do, and the ever returning plans for doing even more.. It kinda adds up doesn’t?
Taking time to unwind is key. You know, have a cup of tea, do some mindful baking, doodle, or just being plain bored. And then once you go out and go about your day, the wooden Haydanhuya bag can serve as a powerful ‘enough is enough!’ reminder.
There is something incredible luxurious about these pieces crafted out of such beautiful wood. All Haydanhuya wallets, purses and clutches are made from either solid oak or solid walnut wood.
Gökhan Eryaman, a former graphic designer from Istanbul was “searching for something that makes me happy during the making process and make someone happy while using it”. He started making bags and wallets out of wood. Now a couple of years later he has a vast line of products and sells to over 30 countries.
For me these wooden purses make me reminisce the (back then HUGE) wooden blocks I used to play with as a toddler, building castles and fortresses and such. Like the real wine gums, or paper trophies, the Haydanhuya bags follow the same smart business formula:
A well made product + “Oh-as-I-child-I-used-to.. (insert fun memory)” = I LOVE THIS.
(Are you taking notes soon-to-be business owner?)
Apart from these purses being obviously amazing, they are perfect as an ongoing Mindfulness exercise.
Why?
Because wood in all its beauty will not give an inch and you’ll just have to make do with the space you have. No more over stuffing! These purses give you very clean boundaries of how much they can carry, and hopefully teach you a thing or two about over stuffing other aspects in your life.
