These are some of the things I found around the web this week that boosted my creativity, or simply made me smile. (There will be unicorns involved)
* These cards over at the ever-brilliant Ignant blog made me laugh.
* Chilly Gonzales is not only a brilliant piano player, he also makes my opinion switch from “this is such a crap song” to “it really is a classic”. Pop music sounds goood when he plays it!
* Bee Bowen’s beautiful scarves were featured this week. While using fruit & veggies for dying fabric gives stunning results, so could using bacteria, potentially. Interesting read!
* For a daily shot of triangles: “Hand thrown on a potter’s wheel and hand decorated”, all items from designer Paula Lopez-Otero are stunning!
* Are you a designer or an artist? You’re in luck! This house-swapping website is only for professional creatives, look at these swanky abodes on offer..
Social Media
Twitter find: Myra Caballero is a slow living enthusiast and blogger over at Winterthorne. She tweets about her own blogposts, and pretty artwork found across the web, as well as advice on how to live more sustainably.
Instagram find: Marieke Verdenius is a food & lifestyle editor for Jamie Oliver magazine. Using her VSCO cam app she takes gorgeous photos of food, ceramics and still lives. It won’t get much brighter than a slice of avocado, colour wise, which is part of the charm (and popularity) of her collection.
Pinterest find: Rena is the owner of Hear Hear, a tiny but amazing shop in Amsterdam. It’s where you can stock up on Juniper Ridge fragrances and Moebe frames! Her Pinterest has something for everyone; ranging from scenery shots to glittery items, from DIY ideas to haircut ideas; if you’re looking for a large selection of stunning images you’ll find them here!.
That’s it for this week. Enjoy your weekend!
