Ingredients that are part of the secret recipe for these scrumptious looking scarves include a mixture of berries, cabbage, avocado, onions and spices. Using several dye extraction methods and shibori folding techniques, Bee Bowen whips up these stunning handcrafted unique scarves made from silk or wool.

For Bee Bowen, an art director/textile designer residing in Australia, using the natural colours found in food is the perfect way of combining her love for both design and nature. Next to plundering the fridge to create her ‘delicious dyes’ she also collects flora on the street, in parks and at farmer markets, to create the equally stunning ‘botanical blemishes’ line. One clever lady!
