Orphaned bicycles create a large amount of waste in the Netherlands. For the Upcycle however, it creates a starting point for a unique line of upcycled products, these desk lamps being my favourite.
The upcycle mainly makes new bikes from discarded bike frames, using as many bike parts in the process as possible. As some of the bike parts could not be used for the new bikes, they decided to start a line of lifestyle products. Chains became bracelets, tires turned into stools, and the former headlights are turned into these curious looking beauties.
