The lift is the lovechild of the people behind a US based company called iSkelter. They make hand-made decks, docks and accessories to help you get the most out of your iDevices., while being Steve-Jobs-would-agree-stylish in the same time.
The latest member of the iSkelter family is called the Lift. The desk enables you to work parts of your day standing, hassle free. Simply put the lift on your desk and choose from a ‘high setting’ or a ‘low setting’. Their Kickstarter page (now fully funded) includes a pretty funny video with various news items about the dangers of sitting disease. Whether or not calling it a disease is a slight exaggeration, I do believe that standing up can really boost your productivity. And, especially in an open office environment I can see the Lift also helping you focus when sitting down, as it creates a bit of a cubicle.
