This is officially feature no. 100 here on Gigot! What better way to celebrate this milestone than by introducing Mecedorama; only the coolest, most colourful, brilliant rocking chairs handmade in Spain!
All of Mecedorama‘s rocking chairs are handmade and custom-made in their rocking chair factory in Madrid. Yes, a rocking chair factory. Is it just me or does this sound extremely Willy Wonka and fun!?
Fun these chairs are, for sure. The caribbean vibe they ooze can be explained by the fact that these chairs are partly the brainchild of a Colombian caribbean coast artisan called Rodrigo.
Another brightly coloured and bold influence is Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, a Spanish fashion designer, who designed the special Haute Couture collection consisting of 5 different models pictured above.
Apart from this special Haute Couture line, there is a whole list of different types of rocking chairs to rock your livingroom with. Some of them designed especially for couples! On their website you can simply select your model, choose a main colour and a contrasting plaid colour, and your chair will be welded, painted and plaited just for you (in the rocking chair factory!)
