Natasha Wittle from Norquai is triple A: Artist, Adventurist and Avid canoeist. And may I add Absolutely Awesome?
These pretty paddles would make you and your house look totally adventurous. They’re not just for hanging on the wall though, these paddles were designed to take out on canoe trips regularly.
Natasha, born in Northern Ontario, Canada, loves the outdoors and especially taking a canoe out on the lakes. She once did a 600 km canoe trip, in one month, at the age of 14 (!). This seriously knocks my socks off. Spending so much time with a plain boring peddle, it ultimately led her to the idea to use a peddle as her canvas. Absolutely Awesome right?
The peddles are made from cherry wood and handcrafted by a paddle maker ‘up in the woods’. Natasha brands, paints, and finishes the paddles in her Montreal workshop. She also takes her work out for a spin on Canada’s lakes regularly.
