Couple crush: geometric pillows and terrariums

Couple crush: geometric pillows and terrariums

One evening back in August I was browsing along some Etsy stores when my eyes widened and a song started playing in my head: “I need colour colour, colour is what I need..!”*

* A quick google it turns out that Aloe Blacc doesn’t need colour so much as he needs a dollar.. *hides behind a geometric pillow*.

Though he may not have written a song about it, I’m sure Aloe wouldn’t mind these beauties on his couch. After all; who doesn’t need some geometric soft goodness!?

Asli Candan Ozsaltik is the Istanbul-based designer and maker of everything that can be found in her Nirwa shop. She is the granddaughter of a tailor (omg so am I!) and she has a crafty husband who also has an Etsy shop selling gorgeous terrariums.

The husband is called Murat and he describes himself as “(..) a twenty-something-year-old man who studied psychology & neuroscience but still feeds a great interest for crafting, inventing and design. My favourite color is blue and I love brewing.” (omg I love brewing too I love men that brew!)

He warns customers not to get too close with their terrariums. “The product is harmless to human health unless you’re clever enough not to lick it. (We know you two are in love but just don’t)”. Ah, cute.

They actually work together on the terrariums, and have an amazing light and airy studio space in Istanbul, pretty sweet!

If you have developed a slight couple-crush for these two (how could you not?) they have a shared Instagram account with a lot of terrariums, some animals, their creative projects (“this summer we spent some time on crafting homemade soaps”) and hopefully more colourful pillows.
