At age 10, I got my best birthday present, ever. It was a ‘Sticker Studio’, a purple machine that could turn anything into a sticker. Little did I know that as an adult, it’s still ok to get overly excited about stickers. More than ok really, when decorating your home with quirky Made of Sundays stickers and decals. And they are Urban Nomad friendly as well!
Made of Sundays is a wall decal company from Helsinki, Finland. The Spanish-Finnish couple, in business and live, call themselves ‘colourful, and a bit crazy’. They both have a background in design, and a longtime longing to quit corporate computerscreen life. That’s exactly what Alba did, as she now works fulltime on Made of Sundays.
Their wall decalls and stickers are designed and handcut in their studio, using high-quality vinyl and biodegradable polyester plastic. You can use the stickers over and over again – perfect when you move a lot or get bored easy. Us Urban Nomads* like this!
Everything they make is just plain cheerful. Alba shared in an interview that they only sell decals they would use themselves. Does this not just really want you to have a peek into their Helsinki home? Ah, but you can! Hop on over to Creating Helsinki. The couple also talks there about how their work does tends to take over their life. Which is true for the majority of creative entrepreneurs, though often doesn’t get shared publicly. Honestly, this made me appreciate and adore Made of Sundays even more. Keep up the cheerful work guys!
