This terracotta orange squeezer is a far cry from the cheap plastic squeezer you can find in most kitchens across the world. They might be equally useful, but in a beauty contest we all know who would win.
Putting designers in the spotlight that make everyday terribly practical items look stunning, because you can never have too much beauty in your life. Made Beautiful: the orange squeezer.
The ten young designers that are part of the Italian design collective Federazione Italiana del Design each made a design using terracotta. These were showcased during an exhibition at Milan Design Week.
This gorgeous squeezer has been designed by Jacopo Ferrari and crafted by ceramic artist Maria Luisa Tribolo. The upper part is unglazed so that it slowly absorbs the orange flavours. Squeezers often come in orange, and though not terribly original, the orange rubber band that holds the two parts together, is a stunning combination with the terracotta stone. Here’s to more squeezing in style!
