Do Eat

December 13, 2014

1P1030384Ah yes, that inevitable moment after a long and joyous night feasting on all things delicious: you need to do the dishes. This Belgian product might lighten that burden just a little, and make the feast even more fun.

Do Eat found a way to produce containers, that are not only edible but also compliment sweet and savory dishes. The containers are made from potato starch, and water, and are all natural. They contain no additives, no salt or sugar, no gluten, fat or nuts, are kosher and vegetarian.

The Do Eat team, Hélène Hoyois and Thibaut Gilquin, want to help people create less waste. For foodies and chefs they created a whole new product to get creative with in the kitchen. The young entrepreneurs themselves have even more ideas to take their edible product beyond that. One example is the idea of making a calender from which you take a daily bite. Would this ultimately lead to a Willy Wonka world? (“Everything in this room is edible my children!”) Do Eat‘s containers are a good start!
