These are some of the things I found around the web this week that boosted my creativity, or simply made me smile. (Pad Thai Black Metal style is included).
* Anyone out there who does not have a (girl)crush on Rachel Khoo? The British/Malaysian/Austrain Chef and illustrator makes you want to put on a vintage dress, red lipstick and spend the rest of you life cooking. This is an interesting post where she talks about her creativity and her upcoming new cookbook.
* The most creative and hilarious thing I came across this week: The Vegan Black Metal Chef. Seriously. If you enjoy vegan cooking and metal, why not sing (?) your recipes in a youtube video? I’ve had the pleasure to taste this Pad Thai recipe and it tastes seriously amazing too!
* Liked the Mecedorama chairs? Designer Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada has the shows of her fashion collections online, fun to watch!
* Here’s a prediction of what will rule the creative world in 2015. I’m happy to see ‘quirky’ and ‘optimistic’ among the top music trends!
Social Media
Twitter find: If you are a maker/designer/crafter, you are going to want to start following the Design Trust. They tweet a ton of interesting articles, updates on events and in general have a very solid twitter schedule in place to keep things interesting. (And they’ll teach you how as well!) Yes I am a fan.
Instagram find: Erin Austen Abbott is the owner of Amelia Presents, a boutique in Oxford, Missisippi, where she sells independent art, design and crafts. On her Instagram account she is having regular ‘Studio Visits’ which is a weekly peek behind the scenes of the artists she carries at her shop. Clever and fun!
Pinterest find: Wilder Goods (once featured on Mindful Monday) have an eye for collecting stunning outdoor, rustic and ‘cool’ images. Also: they’re dudes on Pinterest! (would this explain the random motorcycle helmets?).
That’s it for this week. Enjoy your weekend!
