What if.. you have a passion for art, and a passion for bicycles.. Does this equal grabbing your bike to cycle to a museum? Not for Singaporean creative director Thomas Yang who founded 100 copies. He decided to make art, using bicycles.
To keep up the speed and not endlessly keep on making prints (one needs enough time to go actually go out and cycle, right) Thomas Yang decided to produce each design at a limited edition of 100 copies. This makes each print literally unique, apart from being already such a very clever way of using a random mean of transportation (sorry Thomas, no avid cyclist here).
Thomas Yang is quit the poet as well. His design pictured above called Cityscape comes with the following poem:
Cityscape
You live in a little box.
You get into a little box that drives you to another little box.
And you spend your day thinking little boxed thoughts in your little box.
Till it’s time to leave for the other little box.
Unbox yourself.
Get a life. Get a cycle.
So yes, get out of your box and get a bike. And/or get one of these amazing prints for in your box if you just want to stay inside, don’t enjoy cycling, but just discovered the art in bicycles and just want to stare in awe at these prints for the rest of the day.
